It is notorious that the news of the Emancipation Proclamation was kept from the people of Texas and not celebrated until 'Juneteenth'. There may be those in Texas now who believe they can insulate their state–a state that had its own courageous revolution–from the news of evolution and from the writing in 1786 of a Constitution that refuses to mention religion except when demarcating and limiting its role in the public square. But we promise them today that they will join their fore-runners in the flat-earth community, and in the mad clerical clique of those who believed that the sun revolved around the earth. Yes, they will be in schoolbooks–as a joke on the epic scale of William Jennings Bryan. We shall be fair, and take care to ensure that their tale is told. Christopher Hitchens
About This Quote

George W. Bush said on June 2, 2004 : "The truth of the matter is that so far as the president is concerned, I was not aware of the evolution issue any more than you were." I am not an American but I wanted to add this quote. So we can understand it better let's see what the author said: "Now we're going to go ahead and talk about evolution and creationism in science class," said Sally Lieber, a biology teacher at the North Philadelphia High School. "I'm going to talk about Darwin and Wallace and Wallace's theory of evolution." After my son heard how many times evolution had been taught in our schools over the past 25 years he said: "In my school they teach us there is no such thing as evolution." But when I asked my son what he meant by "in my school", he explained "In my school there are no fossils or geological evidence.

In fact they don't even believe in evolution". The most important thing is that he said that "In my school there are no fossils or geological evidence." That means they don't teach kids about fossils and they don't teach kids about origins. If you want to be a good Republican you have to believe that there is no such thing as evolution. So if you want to become a good Republican, when you go to school tell your teachers that there is no such thing as evolution so they will never teach it to your kids. If your teachers ask you why you don't want them to teach evolution, tell them that it's against God's word because in Genesis 1:1 God created everything in six days and on day six God rested.

If your teachers ask why your parents didn't let them teach you about evolution, say that your parents are religious people who believe in God and don't trust scientists who are atheists. If your teacher asks why you don't want her to teach about evolution, tell her that she has an agenda which shows she wants to teach all religions including Islam which teaches the same thing as Christianity but scientists should never teach about religion because they are atheists who hate God! So if scientists should never talk about religion then they should never talk about Creationism either! Science should only talk about science! If your teacher says she doesn't have enough money or time for all this religious stuff then just say okay! I will pay for it myself! So if you want to become a good Republican just do everything their way.
